why don't we hit restart and pause it at our favourite parts?

I received 2 mysterious calls from an "unknown" number. There was no one at the other end of the line.
After a few minutes, my house phone rang.
"Please wait while we connect your call" the auto message said for the first time, ever (how strange!).
I waited until suddenly, the line got cut off, and I felt super pissed.
"Must be some cranky prank caller or screwed up singtel system again right!" I complained to Mommy.
Then my cellphone rang for the 3rd time, with a really really odd + long chain of number shown on my caller ID.
"Ahhh," I grew excited.
"Must be one of my friends overseas. Or maybe Wong calling from HK/Macau??!"

"Hello!!!" I shrieked.
"Hello...." A familiar deep voice reverberated.
My heart quickened.
"Hello??" I repeated, in disbelief.
"Hello! Quick, I've only got 5 minutes!!" he whispered.
The reception was really bad and I was panicking.
"Wlao, Was that you who prank called me?!" I was still too pissed with the prank calls.
"Can you not be so guailan? I'm calling you from some seas in China!"
"Okay........."
Then there was this awkward silence.
"Where are you? What are you doing?" He spoke faster.
"I, am... H-home? Do..ing nuttin? You?" I didn't exactly know what to say, Stunned beyond words.
"Oh okay." he replied.
Awkward silence, again.
"Eeeehh!" He shouted.
"What la! You call me for what? Waste money." I was getting impatient, as usual.
"I miss you"
"Tsk, Don't rubbish."
These 2 lines are super classic -.-
"Okok I miss you ok you take care."
"O..,k..ay. Bye.." I was choking on my words already! There was so much I wanted to tell him about but I couldn't.
"Bye.."
Plz take care wherever you are, whatever you're doing I'll be praying for your safety!! And I'll still be waiting for you to come back with all your stories to tell, waiting for you to be there for me to vent all my petty anger on! You're probably the only friend whom I can scream at and reveal the most guailan side of me :') You're my best friend forever and always will be.
